chocolate vs. greenberry Reviewer: Ear2B I've tried both of the Shakeology flavors and chocolate definitely wins. The greenberry actually made me want to throw up! I added it to my usual morning shake made up of Kefir, V8 fruit juice, banana, blackberries, blueberries & strawberries. Make sure to blend completely! I didn't blend it well and I got a chunk of gritty powder that was super sweet and just not a flavor I like, which just made me want to puke. However, I asked my business partner if he wanted to try it and he actually loved the taste. So, I guess you'll just need to try it yourself. Some people like the greenberry flavor and some don't.
Of course, chocolate is good, chocolate flavored foods are always good! I definitely felt more alert after drinking my chocolate shakeology shake, kinda invigorated. Plus it totally "regulates" you!
So, I give chocolate shakeology 4 stars and obviously the greenberry flavor gets only 1 from me.
Mixed Emotions Reviewer: Erin When I first read about Shakeology on the internet, I was like wow, this stuff can do a lot for me, so it says. Helps with digestion, super healthy, low calorie meal replacement, and has lots of vitamins and minerals. So I bought it with the intention of using it as a meal replacement for breakfast because I never eat healthy in the morning and it would prevent me from going to DD everyday. So I bought the Greenberry flavor and tried it. I was upset. It was not as tasty as the people on the site made it out to be. But then I realized that it was probably because I mixed it with water. I saw all the recipes and decided to mix something else up. What a huge difference! Mixing it with milk makes a world of difference. Adding stuff like bananas or yogurt makes it even more yummy! With just milk, it's actually pretty good and filling enough for my breakfast. It took only a couple of days for the sake to start regulating my digestion which is a huge plus. Before the sakes, I was always bloated and gassy after breakfast and my coffee. I hated feeling so incredibly full and heavy just because I couldn't go, or just couldn't because of where I was.
I am also doing the P90X because I need to loose some weight and get into better shape and it's recommended that you take a recovery formula after your workouts to help muscle recover and reduce soreness, but I honestly don't need to. I'm guessing that is because of the sakes and the fact that they contain whey protein and other natural goodness. I am not the type that would take supplements so this actually works out perfectly for me!
Looking at list of benefits that Shakeology is supposed to give you, I can honestly say that they are true. Some of the things that I have noticed, without being examined by a doctor:
-Keeping me regular
-Preventing muscle soreness after workout and probably helping them repair
-Hunger and cravings for junk food has been reduced. Haven't had junk food in a while.
-Skin and nails are looking good
These are just the things I can see and feel. Who knows what other good things are happening inside! I'm not drinking the shake to just to help me loose weight, I wanted a way to improve my health and diet and it seems to be working great. I am not only getting a super healthy meal for breakfast, which is the most important meal of the day, it's also making me want to eat a healthy lunch and dinner too. Shakeology is a little pricy, but I actually save money in the end. Shakeology is about $4 a serving, and I definitely spent more at DD every morning.
