What else do I need?
The Insanity Workout Plan DOES NOT require much equipment or accessories. In fact, you don't need any weights! It utilizes your own body as resistance. However, there are a few other items you should consider for the best possible results.
Results & Recovery Formula
The Insanity Workout Program's fitness and nutrition guides both expressly recommend it, and for good reason. This is an intense workout program. Recovery Formula is the quickest way to restore glycogen levels right after your workout. It helps build and repair muscle tissue and alleviate soreness.
If you're going to be working out on a hard floor and/or you want to limit impact on your joints, use an exercise mat, like the ones we offer.

Phase 2 is Brutal
I'm on my 6th week of Insanity and let me tell you that phase 2 is no joke. I thought I'd just be adding 20 minutes to my workout, not the case! The moves are harder and there is a lot more upper body conditioning. I'm drenched with sweat half way through and I feel like I'm dying.
I've noticed a lot of changes thus far primarily my leg strength, flexibility and lung power. I still eat a lot of crap so my ab flab is still there but I can feel the muscles underneath. If I gave up the crap I'd be showing a 2-4 pack.
Looking forward to finishing this and taking the last fit test. My numbers are already more than doubled from my starting numbers.

iv ben on insanity for a week, and doing the elite nutrition diet to, already i feel better and can see the differance. this is the first step for the rest of my life
Pain = pleasure!
I'm a 33 year old woman who's was already in pretty good shape (work out 5 days a week.) However, this past year my metabolism stalled and I gained about 15 pounds, even with a very clean, low cal diet and exercise. So, I decided to try Insanity, and OMG, so glad I did! This set is so much better than ANYTHING and gym can offer, SERIOUSLY. And it's such a timesaver by doing it in your own home. I'm a busy mother of 4 so getting rid of gym time was a huge relief. I have trouble spots that most women my age have, hips and thighs that NO amount of squats or cardio at the gym was getting rid of. But Insanity has targeted those areas and I'm watching them shrink...FINALLY. Not only will you see physical results but you'll FEEL so much stronger, and accomplished, as the workouts are rediculously hard. I am literally a sweaty lump on the floor when the workouts are done but it's a proud feeling. I learned from this series that there is a lot to be said about the old school athletic drills and plyo workouts...no wonder athletes are in such good shape!
