If you are getting ready to do the P90X program, it’s quite likely that P90X before and after photos played some role in your decision to purchase the program. It’s really all about results—we want to use the fitness program that will help us reach our fitness goals. We want to see a major transformation in our own bodies and these before and after photos and video results often give us the evidence we need to make the leap into a new fitness program.
But, P90X before and after shots aren’t just for you to look at—you need to take some yourself! These photos are just one of many different motivational tools to use throughout the P90X program.
What you’ll find when you first get your P90X system is that the Fitness Guide gives great tips on taking good P90X before and after photos. There’s even a place to keep your photos if you print them off. But you don’t have to—keeping them on your pc is also a good way to keep them safe.
There’s no question that the before photos are a little more embarrassing than any of the progress photos or the after pics. When you take your P90X before and after shots, however, you don’t need to worry about being embarrassed. If you don’t want to, you never have to show them to anyone but yourself.
One key piece of advice when taking these photos involves what you wear. You want to see your body in these pictures, so a baggy t-shirt and sweat pants will simply not work. If you’re a man, wear your boxers or workout shorts without a shirt. If you are a woman, a bikini or sports bra and shorts are both good options. If you’re the only one that’s going to see them (and embarrassment isn’t in your vocabulary), you can even go naked!
Also, don’t just take one full-frontal pic and call it good. You need to get several photos so that you can see your progress from all angles. Take your P90X before and after photos in front of a large mirror or using a time delayed setting on your camera. Be sure to get at least one shot from the back, one from each side, and two from the front—one with arms flexed and one with arms down by your sides.
With P90X before and after photos, you’ll want to also take some progress pics throughout the program. What you’ll find is that these can be far more motivational than looking at a stranger’s progress and may just push you to do P90X Doubles or the P90X Plus program when you are done.

When you choose P90X as your fitness program, you aren’t done with the decision making process. This is because there are a few different approaches to the system. The P90X Lean workout schedule is just one of these. P90X Lean is a more cardio based version of the original P90X system. With it you will see less resistance training and more of the sweat inducing P90X cardio routines.
Let’s be honest—not all gadgets are created equal. Sure you can get a cheaper MP3 player online through a discount retailer but the name brand ones are far likely to last longer and carry the features you want. The same holds true for heart rate monitors. The best heart rate monitors balance value and features to provide you the best of both worlds. They will deliver the benefits you need without breaking the bank. But, how do you know which are the best heart rate monitors and which are just okay?
