Want to Save Money… Start Working Out

shopping_ladyIn today’s economy saving money is crucial, being able to support yourself just in case you’re one of the many who lose their jobs this year. It’s a scary and stressful thought that can take a huge toll on your body and mind. But that’s life…. is there any thing we can really do about it?

Of course there is, your life is in your hands. You can control how you feel mentally and physically. Have you ever thought about when you spend the most money? What is your mood like? If you’re anything like me you shop when your down. Coming home with a bunch of bags in your hands some how makes you feel better, at least for the moment. But it’s not good for you in the long run. How much money did you blow on things you don’t really need, just to boost your mood, spending money that you could have put in savings?

Instead of heading to the mall for that sprit uplift, put on some sweat pant and start moving around. Start a new workout routine! Working out will help you in so many ways. It will get you physically fit, boost your energy and of course change your mood! You will feel much better about yourself, eliminating the need to shop for comfort. Putting your hard eared money back in to your savings, instead of in the hands of your favorite department store, allowing yourself to have a more secure future, no matter what the economy is like.

Sticking With Your Home Workout Routine

j0402381We’ve been over this before here at the ExtremeBody Workout blog, but you really can’t overdo it when it comes to tips for making your home workout routine last. It’s pretty easy to start a fitness regimen. You have some motivation in the beginning and you may even be excited as you think about what this fitness endeavor could mean for your body, your health, your attitude, and your appearance. As time goes by, however, it is easy to let that excitement go. A day off can easily turn into a week which is very likely to turn into a month with no workouts. Many of you, I’m sure, can back me up on this one, keeping with a home workout routine requires more sheer dedication than it does motivation.

In the beginning there is motivation. You have your eyes on a pair of jeans in your closet or a bikini you bought last year. Whatever the motivation is, it’s much more likely to be present when you start your home workout routine. The problem with motivation is: it isn’t constant. Motivation will come and go and basing your workouts on motivation is a certain recipe for disaster.

Instead, committing to your home workout routine and working out because of dedication to that commitment can help ensure your success on the program. When you really commit to something, it is harder to allow it to fade away. Commitment requires much more dedication than a fleeting affair with motivation.

You can often find motivation in dedication. When you truly make up your mind to see something through, it can be motivating. However, on days when the motivation isn’t there, dedication needs to be present to carry you through. Don’t give yourself an option to workout, make it a necessity, a daily requirement. More than likely you will find that you will never regret a workout after the fact. However, if you give into temptation and skip a home workout routine, there is no doubt that you will likely regret your inaction.

Top 5 Benefits of a Home Workout Routine

153284_weightsThere are many ways a home workout routine can benefit you and propel you toward your fitness goals. Whether you hate the gym or just want something that’s ultra convenient, working out in the comfort of your own home has several benefits and perks that you simply can’t get elsewhere. Wondering if a system like this is right for you? Check out the top 5 benefits to working out at home and feel free to add your own in the comment section.

1. No one to see you sweat (or hear you grunt). A home workout system allows you to make all the noise you want. It allows you to sweat like a pig without being concerned about who is watching. If you are self-conscious at all, working out at home is perfect for you.
2. It’s cheaper than the gym! Your home has no monthly membership due, no contracts to sign and no registration fees. At the very most you will have a onetime cost of a high quality home workout routine system and possibly some resistance bands.
3. With a home workout routine, there’s no drive time. Has the weather ever kept you from the gym? What about the extra time it takes to get there? With a home workout routine, none of this is a concern.
4. Your personal refreshment bar. When you are in the midst of a home workout routine, you don’t have to go far for a drink of water or a recovery drink. With your kitchen only steps away you also don’t have to worry about spending more for these things at the gym.
5. No bar scene. Some gyms seem to be a singles hangout. There are more people there to check out members of the opposite sex than there are people serious about getting healthy. At home you don’t have to feel like you are on display and comfort allows you to focus more on your home workout routine.

When deciding on a home workout routine, take into consideration the reasons for your workout. Working out at home carries a list of benefits far more extensive than the ones here. Do you prefer workout at home? What are your reasons for it?

Results may vary. Exercise and proper diet are necessary to achieve and maintain weight loss and muscle definition.
