P90X2 is a new fitness program—there are bound to be plenty of questions. People who have completed the original P90X have questions, just like the beginners do.
Fortunately, we’re here to try and answer some of them the best we can. From the information in our blog, to the videos on the P90X2 product page, there are several sources of information. And, if you can’t the answer to your P90X2 questions there, we have a live chat function on our website and telephone support. We want our customers to be informed, to have a good knowledge base on this revolutionary system, whether they’ve already started it or if they are still considering it. So, let’s talk about some of the more common P90X2 questions.
“Do I have to do P90X before P90X2?”
You don’t have to do P90X in order to successfully move to P90X2. Though many P90X graduates see this as the next logical step in their fitness transformation (and it is), as long as you can pass the Fit Test, you can do P90X2.
“What are the equipment requirements for P90X2?”
There are many optional P90X2 products and few that are required. At the bare minimum, you should have a resistance band set for strength training. However, we strongly recommend other products including a Stability Ball, Foam Roller, and Medicine Balls. You can find all of the equipment suggestions on page 24 of your Fitness Guide. Also, the P90X2 Deluxe and Ultimate packages come with many of the recommended products.
“Do I have to follow the P90X2 diet?”
Getting in the shape of your life requires you eat a proper diet. Though you may see some results without using the P90X2 diet, those results won’t be nearly as dramatic, nor will they last long. The P90X2 diet isn’t a starvation diet and it isn’t that difficult to adjust to. It’s very flexible and allows you to make food choices that fit your lifestyle and dietary needs. The workouts are only part of the P90X2 solution—the nutrition aspect is nearly just as important.
“How does P90X2 work?”
As with P90X, the main training principle behind this program is muscle confusion. That means the system keeps your body alert and responding by providing new workouts to work different muscle groups in different manners. Your body doesn’t have time to get accustomed to the workouts, so it keep evolving, avoiding plateaus.
