P90X2 Plyocide is only one of the workouts you get with the P90X2 system. But each and every one of these workout sare worth taking a closer look at before you get started. You want to know what you are in for and we can help. Many people are concerned about the similarities between this workout, P90X2 Plyocide, and the original P90X Plyometrics. Sure, they both use plyometrics, but aside from that, the two workouts are very different. After all, this program isn’t just a rehash of the originals in P90X, it’s a completely new system.

P90X2 Plyocide Length and Difficulty

The P90X2 Plyocide workout is about 55 minutes total. But like the rest of the P90X2 workouts, this one has a pretty long warm-up. There are several good reasons for this, the biggest of which being a reduced chance for injuries. Is the workout hard? Yes, it wouldn’t be a P90X2 workout if it wasn’t challenging. But, as with all of these workouts, you’ll catch on and although the moves will require effort, your learning how to do them will allow you to focus more on getting the most out of them.

P90X2 Plyocide Equipment Needs

You really don’t need a lot to get through a P90X2 Plyocide workout. A yoga/plyo mat is helpful, but not an absolute requirement. You will, however, need a chair or other sturdy step, water, and a towel. Tony will also tell you that two pieces of tape are good, to mark your positioning. But, again, this is not an absolute requirement. Finally, medicine balls are always a good addition.

The Plyocide Exercises

You will see some similarities between a few of the workout moves in the P90X2 Plyocide and the original Plyometrics. But, even those that look familiar have gone through some changes. Here are just some of the exercises you’ll encounter during your 55 minute workout:

  • Frog Burbee Hop
  • Surfer Spin
  • Launcher Lunge
  • Flying Fighter Kick
  • Slalom Line Jump
  • Warrior 3 Lunge
  • Power 90 Cross Hop
  • Depth Charge

The P90X2 Plyocide workout is definitely one you’ll learn to love. It is a tough one, to be sure. But, it’s immediately apparent that this workout is one of the reasons this system is so effective.

As with each of the workouts in this program, you’ll be introduced to several different ways of doing these workout moves. If Tony’s approach is too difficult or if you want to take the moves even further, you’ll see ways of customizing each one.
