If you know anything about Beachbody, P90X, or the new P90X2, you likely know the program won’t lead you astray with the P90X2 Nutrition Plan and Guide. However, we understand that you want to know what you are getting yourself into. You want to know that this isn’t some fad diet disguised as good health. Trust us when we say—it isn’t. This nutrition plan is based in sound nutritional science. It is not a starvation diet. As a matter of fact, it’s not really a diet at all. It’s simply a new way of eating, a change that we hope you extend into the rest of your life.
The Basics
The P90X2 Nutrition Plan and Guide are designed to help fuel an active and changing body. This isn’t a case where you are cutting calories drastically and not adding anything of real nutritional value. On the contrary, you are guaranteed to be eating enough calories and you’ll be getting them in the form of tasty, and satisfying foods. You do this by adhering to simple food lists and great recipes. The program is completely flexible, and allows you to make adjustments where necessary. You don’t have the same eating habits or needs as the next P90X2 participant, and the P90X2 nutrition plan and guide account for that.
The Three Plans
There are three different plans in the P90X2 nutrition plan and guide. These three plans are designed to fuel your body at different points in your fitness transformation. They are designed to support a specific need within your body. They are:
- Fat Shredder 2.0
- Energy Booster 2.0
- Endurance Maximizer 2.0
The Fat Shredder 2.0 stage is designed to burn fat like a torch by fueling your muscles with extra protein and reducing carbohydrate intake to 25%. The second stage is designed to give you the added push to get through as the workouts get tougher. The final stage is there to serve the needs of an endurance athlete and someone who wants to maintain their dramatic results.
The Three Levels
In addition to the three plans within this program, there are three levels. The three levels of the P90X2 nutrition plan and guide are there to tell you how much you should be eating. Which level you are on is determined on page 13 of the guidebook. Levels A, B, and C each dictate a certain number of calories.
