The Insanity Workout Nutrition Guide “Elite Nutrition” is broken down for the 60 day program into “Month One” and “Month Two”. The first month is slightly more restrictive as you begin the program. In month two, as your metabolism increases and you are burning more calories, you will eat a little more as you continue to see major results. The whole program begins on page 10 of the Insanity Workout Nutrition Guide, where you determine your caloric needs.
In month one of the Insanity Workout Nutrition Guide, you will eat 5 meals each day. You are given five meal lists and allowed to choose what you want each day. There’s no hard and fast meal schedule, requiring you eat one particular food with no wavering. Instead, you choose your own menus from the lists from day to day.
For instance, your first meal of the day in Month 1 can be Proatmeal, Fruit and Cottage Cheese, Berry protein Smoothie, Bagel and Lox, an Egg White and Fruit Plate, an Egg White Breakfast Wrap, a Cereal Bowl, Shakeology Shake, Peanut Butter Toast, or a Veggie Omelet. Each meal features a similarly varied list of choices, ensuring you don’t get bored with your options and there’s a different choice for several days.
Each of the meals in month one of the Insanity Workout Nutrition Guide is about 300 calories. If you determined you need more calories, there are simple options to increase them to 400 and 500 calorie meals. You get to choose which meals you need the extra fuel at and which are fine staying within the 300 calorie range. This plan is about flexibility and options.
The people at Beachbody know that a good diet is one that is manageable and customizable. There is no one size fits all when it comes to fitness, we need options. Also, people are far less likely to stick with a plan that is rigid. Month one of the Insanity Workout Nutrition Guide is designed to restrict your calories while giving you the proper fuel for major transformation.
