With so many choices and so many sources for information out there, when it comes to a fitness program it can be difficult to know what to listen to and which to choose. There are many high quality workout systems on the market. We happen to sell some of the best here and we aren’t ashamed to say it. If you are just embarking on your fitness journey, you may be looking for something that can take you from a fairly sedentary life to having strong fitness habits. If this is the case, Power 90 may be the right system for you.
Power 90 is Tony Horton’s original in home boot camp workout program. This program came before P90X and was designed to give people a hard core, body changing system that they could do in their own home. Unlike P90X, which requires a certain level of fitness to begin, Power 90 is great for beginners. This program can prime your body and prepare you to move on to P90X and eventually P90X Plus.
Don’t think that this program is easy just because it’s appropriate for beginners. It is challenging and you will see a big transformation in a period of 90 days. If you give Power 90 your everything it will definitely return the favor!
Power 90 comes with 7 workouts and additional tools to help you succeed. The variety of workouts is not only great for your body but also does wonders for your motivation. Changing things up will help keep you interested and prevent burn out.
If you are ready to make a change in your life, Power 90 is a great place to start. Committing to 90 days can change your life. If you think programs like P90X Plus are out of your range, just wait! Put in the work and you will see your body become what you have always wanted. Put in the work and you will not be disappointed.

I’m thinking about purchasing the P90-Workout, but I’m a bit confused now. Do I need any additional equipment, like dumbells (which I already own), the resistance bands or alike?
Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Credi

@Credi – Dumbbells are good to have, but the workout can be done just with the included resistance band.
@Jim – You’ll work out six days a week, alternating between Sculpt 1-2 and Sweat 1-2 (three times a week each), and occasionally adding Ab Ripper 100. Whenever you feel ready, switch to Sculpt 3-4, Sweat 3-4, and Ab Ripper 200. That’s Beachbody’s official advice: switch when it feels right to you.

I have a rebuilt ankle and a knee injury.
Will power 90 be too harsh for me?
A sedetary lifestyle (sit all day at work) and the add’l issues of ankle and knee leave me very frustrated on how I can begin to get back in shape and lose this unheathy weight.
Before I buy, will this workout work for me?
Hello Aciana,
I would start out with a less intense program like Power 90, but you would still need to take it easy and modify where you need to. It might also be a good idea to consult your doctor before you start, just to be sure these kinds of workouts will not cause more damage to your knee.

I am 51 year old x-athlete. I am at 26% body fat at 6’0 and 192 pounds. I walk over 3 miles a day. I am not a total couch potato. I need something to get me down to around 180. Can this video do it? The P90X was way too extreme when I watched the work outs, maybe when I was 30 but not now……
Hello Mason,
a little variety in your daily exercise might be exactly what you need to start losing more pounds. The fact that you walk 3 miles every day tells me that you will be committed to the program, and commitment is the key to success with home workouts.

Hi
I just purchased the P90X workout package I’m 54 yrs. old and have had a knee replacement and rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders and am looking to get into shape lose weight and build muscle I’m a women 5’7″ and weigh 230 lbs. I am very active with running dog agility 3 dogs and walking some weight training (10lb weights). What program would you suggest? I know you are not doctors but I would apreciate a suggestion, would the Power 90 be better?
Thank you!
Hello Annette,
the P90X can be rough on the joints, especially the knees. I would recommend the Power 90, but since you already have the P90X, you could give it a try before you return it. You can always modify moves, and there will be at least 1 person modifying on the video for each workout. There is actually a man with a prosthetic leg in one of the videos! Just take it easy and know your limits. If you start to feel any discomfort, don’t try and push through it. Ease back or take a rest. Of course you should consult your doctor first, but if you do decide to try it, take caution.
