Hi Randy,

You can certainly do the resistance workouts at the gym. As long as you know the exercises you need to do and take your worksheets, you should be good to go. The cardio workouts also could be done at the gym if you can find the space and you are familiar with what you need to do. The fitness guide lists every exercise and explains how to do each one.

Sounds like you're already in pretty good shape. Your weight and height and fat composition lead me to think you've already got good muscle, so you might want to consider the "Lean" version your first trip through, if your primary goal is to slim down and lose the belly fat. Don't worry...you WILL get stronger, and you'll have even more endurance. I made a minor miscalculation in that I did the "Classic" version. I didn't drop much weight and lost two belt notches, but I wonder if it would have been better if I'd done "Lean" to start with. You do the same exercises, but you do 12-15 reps instead of 8-10 reps so your exercise weight is a little lighter. I'm on a P90X Plus round right now, but I plan to go back and do P90X Lean the next time through. That's the great part about this...every three months can be a whole new program.
