Should You Buy an At Home Workout For Kids?
We’ve all read or watched on television the details of the growing prevalence of childhood obesity. It’s easy to point fingers and blame the fast food industry, video games, television, and other parents. However, if your child is one of the many who struggle with weight, it can be heartbreaking to watch. You know, as a parent, part of the responsibility is yours. Some would argue that your child’s weight is completely your responsibility. If your child is struggling, however, it is your responsibility to help. You may have considered an at home workout for kids but if not, maybe it’s time you did.
An at home workout for kids doesn’t have to feel like work. Of course, some children think of “exercise” similarly to how they think of “brussel sprouts”. The key to keeping your child active is making it fun. Labeling it and making it a chore may only backfire on you, further building up your child’s resistance to fitness and physical activity.
Kids like to move. Think of when you were young and you probably remember running through the yard with wild abandon, panting and smiling simultaneously. Kids of today need to experience that adrenaline rush and sometimes an at home workout for kids can get them to that point.
No matter the age, kids are concerned with looking “cool”. They don’t want an at home workout for kids if it is going to have them doing things they would never normally do. Finding a workout program that is both hip and effective is important. Paying attention to your child’s age and the program you are considering is key when choosing an at home workout for kids.
For younger kids, I would suggest Tony and The Kids as a great option. Celebrity trainer Tony Horton makes this at home workout for kids as fun as possible and gets kids acting silly and moving with fun, younger music. Slightly older children might like Shaun T’s Fit Kids Club a little more. This home workout for kids has slightly more modern music and dance moves similar to those the adults to on Hip Hop Abs.
If your child is a teenager, why not let them try Hip Hop Abs. Yes, this is an adult program but your older child will likely appreciate the music and dance a little more on this one.
Finding the right way to get your child active can be difficult and you may need to try several routes. Be persistent. Remind yourself that your child’s health is your responsibility and take charge!

I here Tony say a number of times on the DVDs that dairy is bad, yet according to 1st phase of the nutrition plan, I am allowed 3 dairies. I use almost all of them on fat free cheese or on fruit flavored fat-free yogurt. Are these OK, or am I suppose to be avoiding this type of food?
