I really can't stomach any of these drinks or shakes. I see that there are supplements I can buy, but I imagine I can obtain the 4:1 carb protein ratio with food. So far, I haven't been able to determine exactly what would be a great substitute without messing too much with the P90X nutrition program. Can you please help me with some ideas?

I am on my eleventh week of P90X-- my problem is the tummy. My tummy is not as defined as I'd hope it be. Everything else has shrank and defined itself except the tummy/mid-section area. What can I do about it? Do I really need the recovery drink or protein bars, etc?

I have been doing the program for almost a month and would like to try the recovery drink/ protein bars but I am allergic to Gluten and I'm trying to find out if there is gluten in the recover drink/protein bars? Or if there are any other suggestions on non-gluten substitues! Thanks! Shaleena

Vitamin E is the least toxic of the fat soluble vitamins, but according to Canadian reccomendations, the reccomended daily intake should be about 15 mg/ day, and should never exceed 1000mg/day. Intake greater than this dosage will cause toxicity related symptoms, such as the reversal of the effects of any anti-clotting medicines you may be on. How much vitamin E does the p90x shake contain per serving anyway?

Hi,
Is anyone concerned with the amount of Vitamin E in the P90X products? My trainer is cautious about the extreme amount of Vit E but thinks that everything else looks great. He has even followed up wtih researching effects for this amount of E and the studies seem to back his reservations.

Jose,
I am on my 4th week of P90X and I have found a recovery drink similar to that of the P90X from Beach Body. It has the propper patented 4:1 carb/protein ratio that is essential for peak recovery after strenuous workouts. It's called Endurox R4 and can be purchased at any GNC. Tangy Orange tastes great and you will want to work out just so you can drink the stuff! Hope this helps.

Hello Joue,

The recovery drink will help your muscles repair after your workouts which will help them build. Protein is important when it comes to defining muscle. Try either the recovery drink and maybe the protein bars, or a whey protein shake. You can find all of these supplements at the following link:
