Why is health related fitness important? Seems like a pretty simple question with a equally simple answer. But, for many people, the importance of fitness just doesn’t sink in. They hear the same news reports about obesity that we all do but they just don’t allow it to ruffle their feathers.
Why is health related fitness important? Because you only get one body and when it’s gone, it’s gone. If you don’t take care of your body through fitness and proper diet, you will not live as long. Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading killers of American adults and something that can be prevented, in many cases, with a proper fitness program.

When your body is happy, your mind follows suit. Exercise can literally make you happy. I know, it’s hard to believe when you don’t have a fitness program in place, but it’s true.

So many of us go through the days focused on work, home, family, and anything but ourselves. Fitness is one of the best ways of giving yourself attention that I can think of. There are many reasons fitness is important. I think the best answer comes when you find your own personal fitness experience and your own reasons for including it in your life. Health related fitness is important to me because it makes me look good and feel like a million bucks! It keeps my stress levels lower and gives me a break from real life.
