Why Choose the P90X Recovery Drink?

p90x-peak-recovery-i2If you are working with Tony Horton and P90X, you have no doubt heard him mention (repeatedly) the P90X Recovery Drink. As a matter of fact, he mentions this recovery formula quite often because he uses it and believes everyone else should too. There is a good reason for this, it works. It provides optimal nutrition for after your strenuous P90X workouts, getting your body ready to continue the day and primed to become a stronger as well.

The importance of post workout nutrition is huge. The P90X Recovery Drink provides exactly what you need in a post workout snack, and it does this in a refreshing drink. After a workout like Plyometrics or Yoga X, a serious recovery drink is what your body needs.

When working out you traumatize muscles and deplete your energy stores. You must feed your body afterwards to ensure your glycogen is replenished and your muscles can begin the healing process. The P90X Recovery Drink was created with these goals in mind.

A proper balance of protein and carbohydrates will ensure your muscles begin the repair and build process as soon as possible. The formula will also ensure you have the energy to continue on throughout your day, replenishing your energy stores that you torched through during the intense P90X workouts.

In addition to muscle repair and energy replenishment, the P90X Recovery Drink also supplies you with superior grade antioxidants and vitamins to encourage overall health. We may not always eat the best but supplements like these make it easier.

Have you ever completed a workout and felt like dropping dead for the rest of the day? Felt like napping the day away? The P90X Recovery Drink would’ve been the perfect solution, helping to regenerate energy and muscle tissue, making you stronger and more fit, ready to take on the day.

whats the difference between Whey Protein Powder, Recovery Drink, and Meal Replacement Shake do I need all of these?

    Staff Reply:

    Hi Paris,

you don’t need all three unless you want them all. The whey protein is more of a protein supplement. The recovery drink has a good amount of protein, but it also has ingredients to help relieve muscle soreness, aid in muscle repair and gives you some energy back after your workout. The meal replacement is just a healthy alternative if you don’t have time to cook and can help you lose weight if you replace 1 meal per day.

I would like to lose 10-15 pounds but was wondering if I would have a problem with my goal since I have been taking the recovery drink, plus having a small dinner after a 1/2 hour consuming the drink. I was told that it is harder to lose weight with any products that have creatine in it. Is that true?

    Staff Reply:

    Hi Rosemarie,

Creatine helps to build muscle. You aren’t going to see an increase in weight just because you are taking the recovery formula. If you are really pushing yourself with weights, you might see gains due to added muscle mass. But not from the drink.

    Hi,

I’m confused with the ingredients in the Recovery Drink, after removing carbohydrates in the fat burner stage, we are adding back in with the drink 36 grams of sugar per serving. Am I missing something?
Also I am mixing it with a serving of Creatine, do you feel think this would help?
    Thanks for your help !
