Hi Vanessa,

No worries here, getting adjusted to P90X can take a little time. What you'll want to do is modify certain exercises so you can gradually improve your performance over the 90 days. This is totally common!

As for the pull-ups you have a few options. As you'll see in the videos, what you can do is go ahead and set up a chair under you and use it for extra support so you can learn to maintain good form. With the help of the chair you should be able to do quite a few pull-ups from here on out.

You can definitely use the bands with our Resistance Bands Upgrade Kit:

http://www.extremebodyworkout.com/p90x-products/resistancebandUGKit.php

It comes with a special door attachment so you can perform modified versions of the pull-ups by attaching your bands to the door and using the bands instead.

You can use the bands you own and if you are looking for more variety we offer the bands right here on our site:

Hello!!

So today I will be starting my first day of P90X, however I must admit I am a little intimidated. I can not do a pull up -- and I am still unsure on how to use the resistance bands. I tried looking for the B-line bands but I only found them online. I went to Target last night and found some Reebok resistance bands -- will that make a big differencE? Also when will I know to trade my bands in for a pull-up bar? Any advice would help. Thanks
