Hello Daniel,

it's not necessary to take the supplements, but they do help increase your results by helping to keep your body healthy. The recovery formula is probably the most important supplement and you should try and get it. It not only helps with soreness, but it helps your muscles repair and build. There shouldn't be any bad effects when you stop taking the recovery formula. It's there to help, but wont hurt if you don't take it.

Hello Ali,

some people see a good of weight loss in the beginning, then a slower gradual loss as they get into the program more. On the other hand, some people don't see any results until the halfway mark. It could be that the slacking on your diet is affecting your weight loss, but it could also just be that you are starting to get into that slower weight loss phase. Just clean up your nutrition a little bit and keep to your routine. You will still see results in the end, just make sure you are pushing yourself. Don't just go through the motions just to get it over with. Really challenge yourself to do better and better each time.

Hello Craig,

protein bars, turkey jerky and nuts can provide you with protein and energy. There aren't a whole lot of options with significant amounts of protein, so be sure to make up for then when you get home for dinner.

Hi,

I am on my second week of phase 2. I am not following the P90x diet guide, but I am eating healthy. If I do have something unhealthy, I only eat a small amount. I really do watch what I eat. I just started Shakeology yesterday, and I eat 5-6 small meals/ snacks a day. During the first phase I didn't slack off with the diet so to say, but I just gave into cravings more. I am trying really hard now to stay as strict as possible with the diet. I haven't noticed any weight loss, but the routines are getting mush easier. I am wondering if because I was less careful on what I ate in the first phase, that it will effect my weight loss, or if I continue eating healthy, I will lose fat and more muscle will be able to show in these next 2 phases. I am not really overweight, and I don't have that much fat to lose, just a little extra fat or "chub" that I would be so happy to have gone, and to have nice abs showing!

I really am concerned that because I messed up during the first phase I won't be able to see any results for the rest of the program. Or if I can still burn fat and get nice abs/ a toned body. PLEASE HELP!

I work out in the middle of the country and don't have a way to heat up food while I'm out here. I have tried to drink protein shakes for breakfast and lunch, but have found that I definitely need solid food too. I can't heat meat up so i don't feel comfortable eating some of it cold due to health issues, but I can't seem to find healthy things that taste good to bring with me. Any suggestions on cold food that will give me the energy I need and have healthy benefits along with my protein shakes?

Hello Raul,

this depends on what your diet consists of. The P90X Nutrition plan is very low in carbs and fats so you can probably get similar results if you keep you diet along the same lines.
