Hey Teddy,

Giving the gift of health and fitness is priceless. He's going to love the program! First the system itself:

P90X
http://www.extremebodyworkout.com/p90x-products/p90x.php

Next if he has his own set of free weights then he should be ok, but if not, and if you want to give him the option you should pick up the P90X resistance bands:

Resistance Bands (Men)

Next up you're going to need the P90X Chin-Up bar it's absolutely essential for the best possible results in the program:
http://www.extremebodyworkout.com/p90x-products/chin-up-bar.php

These are the absolute essentials when it comes to gear. However you're going to also want to strongly consider a yoga mat, not Just to allow you to hold his poses for the Yoga X routines but all the exercises that require you to be on floor, like Ab Ripper X. You really want something between him and the ground. And also Yoga blocks. If he is new to yoga, the yoga blocks are a great tool to keep balance as you gradually become more flexible.

Yoga Monster Mat:

Yoga Blocks:

Of course the other gear we offer for the program is highly recommended he can opt for things like the Push-Up Stands and Heart Rate monitor later in down the road.

Finally Nutrition. At the very minimum he's going to need the P90X Recovery Drink and Protein Bars as they are specifically called for in the included P90X Nutrition Guide.

P90X Recovery Drink:

P90X Protein Bars:
Berry

Cafe Mocha

Peanut Butter Chocolate

This should be a great start for your Dad for the new year. We really hope this list gives you a better idea of what you'll need. Have a wonderful holiday season and we wish your Dad a very merry Christmas from all of us here at ExtremeBodyWorkout!

Hi
For the upcoming Christmas season my dad has been hinting that he wants the p90x program. My mom and I are certainly going to get it for him! Now what kind of accessories do we need to accompany the program? Is any gear necessary? I don't want him to open it up and then not be able to do the program because he's missing something. What do you suggest that's fairly economical?
Thank you.
