Why Use Home Fitness Workouts?

Home fitness workouts are the best way for busy, modern adults to get fit on their own time. By providing an excellent home fitness workout that anyone can schedule, fitness giants are changing the ruled when it comes to getting fit. No longer do you have to shell out an expensive monthly membership or sign a lengthy contract. Now you can get your exercise in at home when it’s convenient to you, and it doesn’t get any better than that.

Working out in a gym can be frustrating. Waiting for machines gets you out of your zone and never mind when the other gym patrons don’t have the etiquette to wipe them down before walking away. Depending on your gym, the atmosphere can seem like a Friday night at the local hotspot downtown or a rehab unit at the nursing home. Don’t get me wrong, everyone needs to stay fit, but you deserve to workout where you are comfortable and a home fitness workout allows just that.

Gyms are expensive. Monthly memberships can get pretty extreme. Depending on what your gym offers you could even be able to afford one night out at a five star restaurant or, in extreme cases, even another car payment if it weren’t for the membership dues. Many gyms make you sign a year or more contract when you join. This means that even if you are unsatisfied with the facilities, you are locked into paying that crazy fee. With a home fitness workout you might pay for a DVD system and some hand weights. Even then, you can have your home fitness center paid for with 2 or 3 months worth of gym membership dues.

Ladies, have you ever gone to the gym and felt out of place when you realized you were there to workout and not “look pretty”? Men, have you showed up for your workout only to feel like there was a competition going on you weren’t told about? Gyms can be loaded with people more concerned with how they look to the other gym patrons than how their workouts are making them fit and healthy. With a home fitness workout, the only person you have to impress is yourself.

Home fitness workouts allow you to exercise when you want. You don’t have to pack a bag and drive to the gym when you would rather be at home. You can fit a workout in whenever it’s convenient for you, not worrying about gym hours or safety after dark in the gym parking lot.

Choosing a fitness routine that works for you and one that you will be able to maintain is vital. An at home fitness workout is highly maintainable when you compare it with a gym. More convenient and less costly, at home workouts are worth their initial investment many times over. Programs like P90X and Turbo Jam can get you fit in the privacy of your home without the hassle of a gym.

    Hi
For the upcoming Christmas season my dad has been hinting that he wants the p90x program. My mom and I are certainly going to get it for him! Now what kind of accessories do we need to accompany the program? Is any gear necessary? I don’t want him to open it up and then not be able to do the program because he’s missing something. What do you suggest that’s fairly economical?
    Thank you.

    Hey Teddy,

Giving the gift of health and fitness is priceless. He’s going to love the program! First the system itself:

    P90X

Next if he has his own set of free weights then he should be ok, but if not, and if you want to give him the option you should pick up the P90X resistance bands:

Next up you’re going to need the P90X Chin-Up bar it’s absolutely essential for the best possible results in the program:

These are the absolute essentials when it comes to gear. However you’re going to also want to strongly consider a yoga mat, not Just to allow you to hold his poses for the Yoga X routines but all the exercises that require you to be on floor, like Ab Ripper X. You really want something between him and the ground. And also Yoga blocks. If he is new to yoga, the yoga blocks are a great tool to keep balance as you gradually become more flexible.

    Yoga Monster Mat:

    Yoga Blocks:

Of course the other gear we offer for the program is highly recommended he can opt for things like the Push-Up Stands and Heart Rate monitor later in down the road.

Finally Nutrition. At the very minimum he’s going to need the P90X Recovery Drink and Protein Bars as they are specifically called for in the included P90X Nutrition Guide.

    P90X Recovery Drink:
