Where does the One on One program come in as far as Tony Horton workouts are concerned? I'm hearing a lot about p90, p90x, 10 minute trainer, but I hadn't heard of the One on One program until I saw it in a banner add looking at Insanity testimonials. Can anyone tell me more about it and the 1 cent promotion going on now? Is it 1 cent to begin and then $20 forever?? Please help.

Hi Linda,

this isn't Tony Horton, but if you contact our customer service representatives and explain your story, they might be able to get you replacement DVD's. I am not guaranteeing that they will because of the warranty thing, but it's worth a shot!

Also know that there are several retailers out there that sell beachbody products. She could have gotten her program from us, beachbody, or another online store.

Good luck Linda.

Hello Tee,

I would start with a less intense program. If you haven't worked out at all, you need to start small! If you try teh P90X or even the Power 90 and it's too hard, you might just quit, and we don't want that! I would start with the 10 Minute Trainer. It's not that this program is easy, but you have the option to work out 10, 20, or 30 minutes per day. It will be easy to work your way up to a full 30-45 minute workout like the Power 90.

Good Luck!

Hello Slavisa,

it's hard to say wether or not your diet will give you the same results. I don't know what you're eating and what your height and weight are, but I can tell you that the Nutrition plan was set up to be used with the workouts and will help you to lose weight. The calories used for these intense exercises are accounted for in the diet plan.

The workouts alone can get your body into better working condition, but when it comes to weight loss, the Nutrition Plan plays a huge role.

Hello James,

the P90X might be too tough with your shoulder issues. Even the Yoga will put strain on your shoulders (downward dog, chuttarunga, etc). How are you with push-ups? There is quite a bit in this program. The pull-up exercises would be tough on your shoulder too.

You should probably get cleared by a doctor for exercise before you start anything, but try for one of the less intense workouts like Power 90.

Linda Lawrence Tony, My daughter bought the P90X program and worked really hard with it and loves it. During the warranty period, she only worked with the first 2 discs and had to put it away for awhile because of her schedule. She went back to it this morning and when she put the other discs into the player, she found the "vibrated..." in the player so bad she thought the player would break. Now the warranty has expired and when she called, they couldn't find her name and she can't find the receipt. Tony, she's 17 and spent her earned money on it and is really upset. I'm really proud of her (she's a 4.0 student, a hard worker and a great young lady) and wondered if you could help? Linda L.

Hi,

Ok, here it is. I am 47yo, on 7 to 9 meds daily (high bp, bad cholesterol, high heart rate, diabetic, heart burn, fatigue, thyroid issues, ect), fat & have NEVER exercised in my life (other than mandatory PE stuff in school), I lost my job on the 19th of February 2010 & have no energy. I want to be strong, healthy & off all my meds, so I'm here for my 13yo daughter for a very long time.

Can I start with P90X without killing myself or should I start on something else first?

And is there help out there from anyone who is done with their DVD set, I can't afford the price without a job, & unfortunately a lot of people are looking these days.

Thanks

Hi, I'm 48 5'7 & 195lbs. I'm a painter so the repetitve movements of my trade have worn my front deltoids out, mainly my right shoulder. Reaching across my body, doing push ups & the "torch holding" position can be painful. Sleeping on my sides doesn't work either. I'm looking to see if I would be able to do the 90px, or even the 10 minute, I'm over weight but not completely out of shape, I do my physical work all day. I'm just big in the gut and chest, so I know u can see why I need to get in shape, I look funny with the barel middle. Thanks for the help.

Hello Rochelle,

with P90X, you can do both or just lean out. There are three approaches you can choose from. Classic, which is an all around program designed to help you lose weight, gain muscle, and improve overall strength and fitness. The lean approach is for those who would like to concentrate on losing weight. You will also be developing lean muscle, but mostly for toning purposes. Doubles is the most intense of the three. This approach is identical to the classic approach with an extra cardio workout added to resistance day. This approach is for those who like the idea of the classic approach, but would also like to be able to burn more calories through out the day.

It's not unrealistic, but you will have to work hard and stick to the nutrition plan. The diet is a HUGE part of weight loss in this program.

Good luck!

-Mike

Hi Jayla,

that's a tough one. You pretty have to bend you knees for everything!! Swimming might be a good alternative and therapeutic as well.

I am a 24 year old, ladies professional golfer and I just finished my first round of the p90x. My results were fantastic! Last season I traveled on the Duramed Futures Tour, and with the crazy schedule I struggled to find time to go to the gym. After missing the LPGA by mearly 3 strokes, I decided that 2010 would be different! This winter I lost 8% bodyfat, 10 lbs, and feel better than ever about rocking the tour in 2010! I know that the DVDs will be easy to bring on the road, and hope to continue this success. Thanks Tony! See-ya in the winners circle :)
