Ten Minute Trainer: How to Make an Exercise Workout Schedule as a Busy Mom
There is nothing that can get your weight off track faster than starting a family. Whatever workout schedule you used to have is truly a thing of the past. Sure, you love your husband and your kids more than anything in the world, but all day long it is one thing after another till the kids are in bed, and you collapse, exhausted at the end of your long day.
It doesn’t have to be that way. There are little things that you can start doing in terms of eating and exercise that can really have you back in your old jeans in no time. You can lose some of that weight that didn’t disappear when you gave birth, and you will start having more energy and look sexier than ever.
There are actually several exercise programs that are designed with you in mind. Each one is a little different and may target your body in a different way, but each one of them is designed get you eating healthy and fitting an exercise workout schedule into your daily routines.
To start with, all you need is 10 minutes. And then later you can start to work up to 30–40 minutes a day. Ten minutes is do-able and flexible. If you’re an early morning person, get up and workout before the kids wake up or when they’re down for their naps. Another solution is to let dad spend some quality time with the kids after he gets home from work, or exercise after the kids have gone to bed for the night.

Hi there,
I’m sure the 10 minute workout is a doable, compact exercise system, that if used consistently, will yield results. However, the more I read about it, the more it would seem the system was designed specifically for women. The pictures, along with key words found in the promotional material, such ‘mom’, ‘kids’, ‘husband’, seem to be saying, guys stay away.
So let me ask you, is this system suitable for men as well as women?
Thanks,
Marc
Hi Marc,
The marketing efforts for 10 Minute Trainer definitely target the busy mom but, 10 Minute Trainer is certainly not exclusively for women. The program is new and we are getting orders everyday from both women and men. It’s also worth mentioning that the nutrition guide is flexible and based on your body type, and the included measurement tracker for instance, caters to both men and women.
The main thing to keep in mind is that 10 Minute Trainer has a focus on losing weight and getting toned. While programs like P90X for example focus on losing weight and building more muscle mass. Will you get “absolutely ripped” with 10 Minute Trainer like you would with P90X? No, but you will get into great shape and you won’t have to spend an hour or more everyday to get there.
Also we’d recommend opting for the “Heavy” resistance bands for the 10 Minute trainer standard, upgrade or deluxe kits as they are better suited for men. Hope this helps clarify, let us know if we can help out in any other way!

Wow, I need to check this out. I have a 1 year old son and losing that weight and getting back into my prior lean and mean form has been challenging! I love the idea of 10 minutes-that’s about all I have some days!
I am out-of-shape and about 50 lbs. over my ideal weight. Is this an ok workout for beginners?
Hi Lyn,
Yes this is really one of the best workouts we offer and perfectly suited to beginners. You can really take it at your own pace. You can start by doing 10 minutes a day and work your way up to 20 to 30 minutes a day by stacking on additional workouts to your daily routine outlined in the included workout calendar.
But don’t let the sound of 10 minutes fool you, these 10 minute routines are very active. So if you find it’s a little tough in the beginning you can always go at your own pace. There are modified moves which are illustrated in the video which are less intense and you can limit your reps and opt to not use the resistance bands until you’re ready.
10 Minute Trainer is a great way to make fitness a part of your life and is highly recommended for beginners and people with busy schedules.
