Hey there- Quick question. I love P90X. I'm in round 3. However, I need to lose body weight. I'm an actor and my reps want me to lose scale weight. They're concerned about weight and not so much body fat. I'm 218 pounds and eating level 3, should I drop down to Level 2 eating plan or should I switch over to Power 90, which seems more about weight loss? I need to get to around 185 pounds. Thanks so much for your help.

Hi, I am a 31 year old male and weight 104kg (229lbs) and am 6 ft tall. I am carrying a lot of fat around my stomach and have man boobs. Very depressing!!!!!

I am 1 day into P90 work outs and was thinking of incorporating Turbo Jam to boost the cardio and fat loss. Do you think this is a good idea? I was planning on doing the P90 workouts first thing in the morning, followed directly by Turbo Jam.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello, I am a 26 yr old female 5'6 and I weigh 203lbs. I really want to lose about 60lbs. I used to be very in shape in high school and worked out on my own but I am unmotivated and I work full time and have a child. I am completely out of shape and my eating habits are terrible as well. I have been researching and I want to know what program is best for me to lose weight. I was thinking about Turbo Jam but wondering if the moves will be too difficult. I have also looked about Power 90 and wondered if it is too extreme for someone completely out of shape. Now I have seen some posts about ChaLean as well. Please help me decide which product is best. Most of my weight in concentrated in my mid section since I had a child and it seems I just keep gaining weight. I need a program that will help me lose weight and lightly tone my body. Time is not an issue I do not have a deadline I just need to get on the right path.

Hi, I am 25 years old and I am looking to get back into shape for my golf game. I'm pretty good, and one thing I can do to get better is my fitness. I'm 6'0, 260lbs. Most of my weight is midesection and upper body, and right where I can't have it! Anyway, I am wanting to lose about 80lbs and also tone up and strengthen my core. I CAN'T get big in my chest because that will severely affect my golf swing, so I don't want to get extremely bulked, but I do want to have some good muscle in my core and forearms. So based on that, what product do you recommend I go for? Thanks!!!

Hello Juvenal,

Many people aren't sure which program is right for them. P90X or Power 90. Both program have the same ideas and use some of the same exercises. The difference in the difficulty levels. Power 90 isn't as intense as P90X and the workouts are a little bit shorter. Both programs can deliver great results, all over results. Most people are concerned with their midsection. The key to flattening that area is to eat a balanced diet that will complement your exercise regimen, and do the right exercises to slim that area down. Many people think you just have to do a million crunches to get a six pack. That might work, but it will take much longer than 90 days if you aren't eating right or doing any other sort of exercise. Here is what I think is what it takes to slim your midsection down significantly while doing P90X or Power 90:

1. Follow the nutrition plans! This is very important!! You need more protein and fewer carbs with these programs and following that plan really makes a difference!

2. Of course you should put you all into every exercise, but always push yourself when it comes to BACK and LEG muscle strengthening workouts. Think about track runners. They have AMAZING midsections and I have never see them doing ab exercises. That's because their legs, a rather large muscle, are in great condition and the actual muscle is usually pretty built up. Working large muscle groups really accelerates your body's ability to burn fat all over your body.

3. Push it to the limit during those fat burning cardio routines. Not only are you sweating your butt off and burning a ton of calories, you are also working the legs (large muscle group).

4. Last but not least, once you master your ab workouts, try and add some sort of resistance. This way you can build those abdominal up bigger and those muscles will help to burn the fat that may be covering them!

Which ever program you decide to go with, keep these tips in mind and your midsection will be a great deal slimmer at the end of 90 days. See the link in the above post if you want to take the P90X fitness test.

Hey Brooke,

P90X is a great program and can give you great results if you can handle the intensity of the workouts. Take the fitness test to see if you can stick with P90X. If not, you should go with Power 90. Power 90 has a lot of the same great ideas as P90X, but isn't as intense and the workouts are a little bit shorter. Here is the link to the fit test:

Hello Jonathan,

starting with Power 90 would be a good choice. It is a little less intense than P90X, and also it will help you to prepare for P90X if you want to take that route later on. You just have to put yourself on a schedule and do these workouts everyday and try and follow the nutrition advise. Give yourself an hour a day to workout and get your diet in order for the day, and you will do fine!!

Hi

I know I am out of shape and have always been. But I want to CHANGE! I'm 25, 6'4", and 305 lbs. I try to watch what I eat and I try to walk when I can. I'm a nurse and I work from 7p-7a. I get home right before 8 and I am usually asleep by 830. Then I wake up at 5 to get ready for work. It is hard for me to do any exercise because of my job. I've seen P90X advertised on tv several several times. I always watch it for a few minutes and think to myself "That's what I need to be doing". But I've never ordered it because I don't know if it will be too much for me to handle or because I am I would lose my confidence/motivation and quit. I don't do good staying motivated by myself. I sometimes wish I had a drill sergeant or someone to come kick my butt into shape. I know it is going to be a rough bumpy road but I am READY for the lifestyle change! I just found out that there is a less intense version (Power 90) and was wondering what you guys think would be best for me. I WANT lose weight! I WANT to get in shape! I WANT to take better care of myself!

Thank you guys in advance

It is hard for me to do any exercise because of my job. I’ve seen P90X advertised on tv several several times. I always watch it for a few minutes and think to myself “That’s what I need to be doing”. But I’ve never ordered it because I don’t know if it will be too much for me to handle or because I am I would lose my confidence/motivation and quit. I don’t do good staying motivated by myself.

Hello Cassie,

you can modify if you need to, yes. They will actually show you how to modify if you have knee trouble.

Hi,

I was on a roll at the gym getting ready to run my 2nd 1/2 marathon when I torn my ACL (same knee, agin) while playing soccer. I plan to have surgery and end of Aug and would like to continue to work out up to surgery date. I can't do the sharp cutting and lateral movements right now, but squats are ok. I really need to rebuild quads and hams. Are the videos/workouts in P90X adaptable? Can I do alternative movements if I feel unsteady with my knee?

Thanks!
